A b o u t

I’m Dirk Thompson, and Awake 3 Eight is my multimedia company that was born from a personal transformation.

For years, I’ve developed creative skills such as: photography, video editing, sound design, music composition and most recently flying drones.  They’ve all been hobbies that have ebbed & flowed in various seasons throughout my life.  Deep down, I had dreamed of turning them into a career, but self-doubt kept me from taking the leap.  Shortly before turning 38, everything changed. I made a decision: I wouldn’t let fear dictate my path anymore. I awoke into my 38th year determined to live fully, do work I love, and create things that matter. That awakening is what inspired: Awake 3 Eight.

Now, I’m on a mission to help others tell their stories in unforgettable ways.
